Sri Charana Pahadi

Please note, this is one of my old videos. For complete information watch the video at the bottom of the page.

Sri Carana Pahadi is situated one and half km north of Chota Baithana. Here is a Laksmi Narayana Mandira and on the rocks one can see many footprints of cowherds, cows, Surabhi-cows, horses, the Airavata-elephant, and signs of a crown and a stick as well as Carana Ganga. One day Sri Krsna came here and discussed ways with His elder brother Balarama to perform some very wonderful pastime. Accordingly all the older cowherdboys came upon the rock with vehicles, horses and elephants. At that time a deer also came, from another place, and stood with them on the mountain. Just then Sri Krsna played His lovely flute and as the rocks of the mountain melted the footprints of the cowherdboys and the cows sank into them. One can see how soft the liquid the stones of the mountain had become because even the hooves of the deer have sunk into them. From then onwards this place has been named Carana Pahadi.

Along with Lord Krishna’s lotus feet one can also see the various impressions left by the cowherd boys, the cows, the deer and the antelopes birds and many other creatures, as well as the villagers.
